If you love puzzles and precision - this is the build for you. It takes concentration and care, but is a triumph of paper engineering and thoroughly satisfying to complete.
The Themis Mono is an extraordinary geometric paper mobile that consists of twelve sides. This large, beautifully designed geometric shape is called a dodecahedron.
Each one of its sides features a different colour, with five variations of that colour produced by the angle of the geometric planes. The colors range from pastels to bright fluorescents, and from warm to cool hues.
Due to its sophistication and playfulness, Mono can appeal to both an adult and young audience - either as interior decor, or for the joy of geometry!
Mono comes complete with hanging hardware, and is easily assembled into its 3D format. Place it on the side table, hang it individually or in a cluster from the ceiling.
Important note on construction: Full instructions are included, but I have an essential tip for you. Stick each join together as a mountain fold, rather than pressing them together flat on the table. It's a bit fiddly, but this ensures the correct shape is maintained for completing the mobile. I originally laid the glue tab flat on the table to stick each section, and the mobile folded backwards - in on itself. It needs the mountain folds to hold it's shape. If you get stuck, call me!
